Ace Underwood is a new student at Wayworth Boarding School, a mysterious and brooding place with a lot of secrets, which is cut of from the rest of the world. He has a condition which causes him to hallucinate if ever his blood pressure gets too high, and he enters dream worlds in his mind. 

One stormy night from the window in his dorm room, Ace witnesses a student get shot in the opposite dorm building. The student had a tattoo of a black poker spade on his neck. Ace calls the police but the call is redirected to the school reception before the call cuts off. He checks the window again. The student is still alive, and picks up the gun which he was shot with and commits suicide.

No one believes Ace that this happened, especially since the student is seemingly still alive, but not with the same tattoo that Ace remembers...
